Privacy policy

This policy applies to the gr-properties.be website. It complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data.

Data collected and purposes

The website only collects personal data when you send it through one of its two forms.

Valuation request

Data: type of property, property address (street and number, postcode, municipality), floor area, number of bedrooms, intended timeframe for the sale, optional details, and your first name, last name, email and phone number.

Purpose: to prepare and carry out the valuation of your property, contact you about it and, if you wish, help you sell it.

Contact form

Data: first name, last name, email, phone number, type of project and message.

Purpose: to answer your request and, where relevant, help you with your sale, purchase or letting.

Technical data

With each request, the website records the page it was sent from, your IP address and your browser type, to prevent abuse. The host also keeps technical logs (IP address, pages visited) needed for server security.

Your data is never sold, never used for marketing without your consent and never subject to automated decision-making.

Legal basis

• Valuation and contact requests: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, and pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR)
• Technical data: the legitimate interest of GR Properties SRL in keeping the website secure (Article 6(1)(f))
• If an agency agreement is signed: performance of the contract and the estate agent’s legal obligations, in particular regarding anti-money laundering (Article 6(1)(b) and (c))

Retention period

• Request not followed up: 24 months after the last exchange, then deleted
• Request followed by an agency agreement: for the duration of the relationship, then for the period required by law (in particular 10 years for documents required by the Act of 18 September 2017 on the prevention of money laundering)
• Technical logs: a limited period set by the host for server security

Recipients

Your data is processed by Gabriel Ropers personally. It is only shared with those who need it:

• the website and email host (Hostinger International Ltd, 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus), acting as a processor
• with your consent, the professionals involved in your project (notary, EPC assessor, surveyor)
• the authorities, where required by law

The data is hosted in the European Union. 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Chypre server location to be confirmed with the host.

Your rights

You may at any time:

• access your data and obtain a copy
• have it corrected or erased
• ask for its processing to be restricted, or object to it
• receive the data you provided in a common format (portability)
• withdraw your consent, without affecting processing already carried out

To exercise these rights, write to info@gr-properties.be. You will receive a reply within one month. If there is reasonable doubt about your identity, you may be asked for proof.

Complaints

If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be (opens in a new tab).

Cookies and trackers

This website uses no analytics, advertising or social media cookies. It loads no third-party content (fonts, maps, videos, widgets), so your visit is not passed on to any other service. That is why no consent banner is shown.

Visitors receive no cookies. Only administrators who log in to the site’s back office receive WordPress technical cookies (login session), which are strictly necessary for that login.
